Job summary

BG Staffing is hiring an Affordable Housing Certification Specialist in Middle River, MD. The role focuses on LIHTC and HUD certifications and recertifications for a nonprofit property management organization that serves senior living communities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience completing LIHTC and/or HUD certifications and recertifications.
• Strong understanding of affordable housing compliance regulations.
• Experience reviewing income and asset documentation.
• Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident certifications and annual recertifications for affordable housing programs.
• Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, and other applicable regulations.
• Review income documentation and verify eligibility requirements.
• Maintain accurate resident and compliance files.
• Process move-ins, recertifications, and compliance-related paperwork.
• Work closely with residents to gather required documentation.
• Assist with audits and file reviews as needed.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of certification activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Provide professional and compassionate customer service to senior residents.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)

BG Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Certification Specialist for a unique opportunity with a respected nonprofit property management organization in Middle River, Maryland. This organization specializes in managing affordable senior living cooperative communities, offering a rewarding environment where your work directly impacts residents and helps maintain high-quality affordable housing programs.

This is not a traditional multifamily housing position. We are looking for a dedicated professional who understands the complexities of affordable housing compliance and enjoys working in a mission-focused setting that serves senior residents.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have direct, hands-on experience completing certifications and recertifications for affordable housing programs. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can confidently navigate compliance requirements while providing excellent service to residents.

Please Note: Experience with LIHTC and/or HUD certifications is required. Candidates must have practical experience processing certifications and recertifications from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete resident certifications and annual recertifications for affordable housing programs

Qualifications

Preferred:
