Job summary

Asset Living seeks an Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist to review LIHTC applications for eligibility and regulatory compliance, ensuring timely processing and adherence to policies.

Applicants should have strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with RealPage Onesite Tax Credit, and be prepared to complete HCCP training within two years. Travel up to roughly half of the year is required.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and detail-oriented work style.
• Proficiency with RealPage Onesite Tax Credit software.
• HCCP certification or willingness to complete training within 2 years.
• Knowledge of the HUD program is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review Affordable Housing resident files for eligibility and compliance with all required laws.
• Review the files based on information presented by the applicants and ensure review within 24 hours of receiving.
• Adherence to all policies and procedures as set forth in the personnel manual.
• Monitor changes in LIHTC regulations and implement modifications as indicated.
• Attend TDHCA trainings annually; attend HCCP training within the first two years and pass the exam to receive the HCCP designation.
• Participate in all tax credit reviews by outside entities.
• Travel approximately 50% of work time annually for property visits, conferences, training sessions, or other business-related activities.
