Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to ensure LIHTC properties remain compliant and to perform resident file reviews across a multi-site portfolio.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of LIHTC experience, including move-in and recertification reviews, and a strong grasp of income, assets, and household composition. This mission-driven nonprofit offers health, dental, vision, 401(k) options, and a chance to become a key compliance resource across sites. Based in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of LIHTC compliance experience required.
• 5+ years of household file review, certification, and recertification auditing experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit requirements.
• Experience reviewing resident eligibility, income, assets, household composition, and student status.
• Experience interpreting and applying LURAs and other affordable housing regulatory agreements.
• Experience supporting a multi-site affordable housing portfolio.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple files and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with property management and site teams.
• LIHTC or other affordable housing compliance certifications are highly desirable.
• Commitment to the mission of preserving and supporting affordable housing communities.

Responsibilities

• Review LIHTC files for income and eligibility compliance.
• Audit move-in and recertification files for accuracy.
• Review income calculations, assets, student status, and household composition.
• Monitor LIHTC income limits, rent limits, and utility allowances.
• Serve as a LIHTC compliance resource for site teams and provide feedback.
