Job summary

C+C Apartment Management LLC in the New York area is seeking a Compliance Associate to support LIHTC operations and ensure regulatory recertifications are completed accurately and on schedule.

You will assist in preparing notices, tracking recertifications in Yardi Affordable, and coordinating with investors, auditors, and residents. A high school diploma and proficiency in MS Excel are required; Spanish bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of work experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel preferred.
• Proficiency in Yardi Affordable required.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the compliance team and ensure regulatory requirements for sites with recertification waivers and may include full recertification.
• Complete annual LIHTC recertifications for properties with waivers and self-certifications within their portfolio.
• Prepare and send reminder notices to residents at 120, 90, 60, and 30 days.
• Commence holdover for Failure to Recertify by 2nd day of effective month.
• Ensure waiver is completed in its entirety before filed away in folder.
• All recertifications are entered into Yardi and date completed once complete.
• Prepare for tenant file reviews with investors, syndicators, and monitoring agencies.
• Assist in response to investor, syndicator, and monitoring agency audits.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reporting.
• Track audits, reporting, and recertifications, etc.
• Meet with residents as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned/needed.
