Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior asset manager to own and execute LIHTC portfolio strategies in a newly created role. You will work closely with a hands-on Director of Asset Management and lead cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and strong financial performance.

The position is on-site with relocation to Minneapolis/Twin Cities. You will drive portfolio growth, mentor junior staff, and present updates to executive leadership as the portfolio scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commercial real estate, finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in asset management.
• Meaningful, hands-on LIHTC experience with compliance exposure.
• Proficient Excel; able to learn new systems quickly.
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting skills for upper management.
• Demonstrated leadership ability or experience in a managerial capacity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fully on-site; minimal travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own asset management plans for a growing LIHTC portfolio.
• Monitor lease-up and ensure compliance with proforma and regulations.
• Coordinate site inspections and reviews with internal/third-party teams.
• Review and approve annual operating budgets delivered to partners on time.
• Monitor asset financial performance against budgets/proforma.
• Hit milestones: equity installments, loan earn-outs, tax credit testing.
• Lead cross-functional meetings for underperforming assets.
• Present portfolio condition monthly to exec leadership.
• Collaborate with Capital Planning on lifecycle plans and budgeting variances.
• Support responses to governmental or lending inquiries.
• Manage LIHTC portfolio property insurance (placement, renewals, claims).
• Develop market expertise in new submarkets as portfolio grows.
• Supervise financial analysts as the team expands.
