Applied Technical Services, LLC is seeking a Lightning Protection Intern to support inspections, repairs, and installations on commercial buildings. Learn industry best practices while maintaining project records and assisting with reports.

The role involves fieldwork with safety emphasis, potential travel regionally, and a start time around 7:30 a.m. This internship targets students or recent grads interested in construction or workplace safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college enrollment encouraged.
• Exposure to construction, safety, or trades coursework preferred.
• Basic OSHA safety understanding; training provided.
• Office and field work mix: ~60% field / 40% office.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email) required.
• Physically able to lift ~50 lbs and work on roofs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for projects.

Responsabilités

• Assist inspections, repairs, and installations of lightning protection systems on commercial buildings.
• Climb ladders, access roofs, and work at heights following safety guidelines.
• Use hand tools to support repairs and installations.
• Communicate with project managers and team members; limited client interaction.
• Travel regionally (GA, TN, FL) and occasionally nationwide for projects.
• Follow OSHA and company safety protocols at all times.
