Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) Houston office is seeking a hands-on Lightning Protection Technician to support our lightning protection group. The role involves inspections, installations, testing, and retrofits of lightning protection systems on commercial and industrial facilities.

You will work with project managers, consultants, and engineers in a field setting. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with common tools, and a willingness to learn; travel to sites

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Hands-on experience with common hand and power tools.
• Team-oriented with ability to work with project managers and engineers.
• Willing to travel to project sites and work outdoors in construction settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist inspections of existing lightning protection systems on commercial/industrial facilities.
• Install, repair, replace, and retrofit lightning protection components.
• Assist with layout and routing of conductors per drawings and field conditions.
• Use hand and power tools to install equipment and accessories.
• Perform continuity testing and field measurements as required by project scope.
• Work safely on rooftops and at heights with fall protection.
• Document field conditions, take photographs, and assist with reports.
