Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS Houston in Conroe, TX) seeks a hands-on Lightning Protection Technician to support our growing lightning protection group. This field role involves inspections, installations, testing, and retrofits of systems on commercial and industrial facilities.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, Consultants, Engineers, and field staff, travel across the Houston area, and grow into leadership roles through on-the-job training, safety programs, and project

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is not required.
• Hands-on with common hand and power tools; able to troubleshoot in the field.
• Ability to read project drawings and perform site measurements.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in the Houston area and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Assist inspections of existing lightning protection systems.
• Install, repair, retrofit lightning protection components.
• Assist with layout and routing based on drawings and field conditions.
• Use hand and power tools including drills, grinders, torque wrenches.
• Perform continuity testing, field measurements, and visual inspections as required.
• Maintain field notes and assist with inspection reports and project documentation.
