Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) Houston office in Conroe, TX is seeking an Engineering Technician to support building access, fall protection, and lightning protection systems. The role involves hands-on field work, inspections, testing, installations, and repairs of equipment on commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

The position emphasizes working outdoors, solving problems with a technical team, and growing into greater responsibilities with project coordination opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Hands-on experience with common hand and power tools.
• Team player with ability to work with Project Managers, Engineers and Technicians.
• Willingness to work outdoors and at heights in construction or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections of fall protection and building access equipment.
• Perform field testing and load testing of roof anchors, davit systems, lifelines, and related equipment.
• Assist with installation, repair, and retrofit projects involving fall protection systems.
• Use hand and power tools for installation tasks.
• Assist with site measurements, photographs, equipment identification, and documenting field conditions.
• Maintain accurate field notes and organize inspection/project reports.
• Travel to project sites within Houston area and surrounding Texas.
• Support safety procedures and project documentation.
