Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services is hiring a Lighting Technician C to install and maintain streetlights from aerial devices, ladders, and ground level. This entry-level role involves working with energized systems, communicating with property owners, and supporting senior technicians on lighting projects.

Applicants should be capable of climbing structures, handling heavy equipment, and traveling for emergencies. A CDL is preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy equipment and field maintenance.
• Ability to identify and operate required tools and equipment including bucket trucks and tensioners.
• Experience working with energized high voltage systems and electrical safety.
• Capable of climbing different structures and handling climbing tools.
• Strong communication when coordinating with property owners and teams.

Responsibilities

• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• Excavates to assist installation of structures or cable per contract specs.
• Communicate work to public and private property owners.
• May require flagging certification; exposed to traffic.
• Work on elevated surfaces.
• Assist higher-level technician in lighting construction and maintenance.
• Safely work with voltage 600V or less with minimal oversight.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
