Job summary

Rexel USA, a leading lighting distributor, seeks a Lighting Showroom Sales professional to join Mayer in Pelham, AL. The role focuses on promoting and selling residential and small commercial lighting and connected home solutions.

You will greet customers, prepare quotes, and drive orders with strong customer service and efficient order processing. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in sales, with a HS/GED and a preference for a 4-year degree.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of sales experience.
• High School diploma or GED - Required.
• 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon entering the lighting showroom.
• Create quotes for customers, ensuring an acceptable gross margin level.
• Follow-up with customers to secure order.
• Convert quotes to orders within customer expectations.
• Enter and bill orders in a timely manner.
• Monitor and cancel unsuccessful quotes.
• Proactively expedite order.
• Coordinate with customer and internal resources regarding shipments/delivery.
• Review customer pricing regularly for accuracy.
• Participate in supplier promotions from sales and marketing.
