Job summary

Lamps Plus, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead a team, mentor staff, and drive sales while ensuring excellent customer service and product knowledge.

Responsibilities include interviewing staff, maintaining store presentation, and enforcing safety and company policies. Prior design/home furnishings exposure is a plus, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience.
• Prior retail Store Manager experience preferred.
• Interior design education or related home furnishings experience a plus.
• High school graduate; College preferred.
• Computer literate.
• Motivated, energetic individual who enjoys working with people and providing superior customer service.
• Great training facilitation and communication skills.
• Must be reliable and able to work a flexible retail schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Regular job attendance is required.
• Requires long periods of standing and lifting 25-50 lbs., ladders.

Responsibilities

• Promotes quality customer service and resolves customer complaints.
• Answers questions, demonstrates products, and offers design usage suggestions.
• Maintains knowledge of products and new merchandise.
• Ensures store appearance and showroom professionalism.
• Prepares administrative reports and forwards to HR.
• Interviews and trains staff when needed and motivates team to meet sales goals.
• Promotes safe work environment and enforces policies.
• Develops understanding of other store functions.
