Job summary

Lamps Plus, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused sales associate to provide a positive shopping experience, greet customers, and close sales while meeting store goals.

You will answer phones, assist with design considerations, participate in the In-Home Program, and maintain product knowledge to help customers choose the right lighting solutions.

This role requires evenings and weekends, a valid driver’s license to conduct in-home demonstrations, and a willingness to learn and grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of prior sales experience a plus; interior design education or related home furnishings helpful but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile to drive to homes for in-home demonstrations/consultations.
• Must be able to multi-task and address more than one customer at a time.
• Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must pass security background check.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provides a positive shopping experience to Lamps Plus customers through excellent customer service and attentiveness to customer satisfaction.
• Utilize sales skills; greet customers, probe for information and close sale to meet sales goals.
• Answers phone, takes messages accurately and follows up with the customer.
• Assists and advises customers on purchases, determines needs, and follows through on sale details.
• Answers questions, demonstrates products, and offers design and usage suggestions.
• Ensures customers receive correct bulbs and dimmers with each sale.
• Handles returns promptly and completes store paperwork per policy.
• Consults with Store Manager on irregular sales, complaints or problems.
