Job summary

QED, based in Denver, CO, seeks a Lighting Quotations Specialist to coordinate bidding and quotations for lighting projects. You’ll collaborate with sales, ensure accuracy and timeliness, and align quotations with branch profitability goals.

The role requires knowledge of lighting equipment, electrical plans and distribution products, with 2–4 years of related experience preferred. Onsite at our Denver facility with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, plus 2–4 years of related experience.
• Expert knowledge of Lighting equipment and terminology.
• Electrical Distribution and/or Lighting Rep / Manufacturer experience preferred.
• Expert ability to read electrical plans and specifications for distribution products.
• Experience as contractor inside salesperson or management of lighting projects is desired.
• PC literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer and sales requests on lighting projects across a region.
• Assist with planning and presenting training programs for customers and salespersons.
• Provide quotations or estimates of prices, terms and delivery for standard or complex items.
• Coordinate with Projects to resolve customer order problems and complaints promptly.
• Prepare correspondence and reports for business transactions.
• Review plans/specs and suggest alternate solutions to customers.
• Contact external vendors to obtain pricing and develop a complete electrical distribution proposal.
