Job summary

Elco Lighting is seeking a Product Testing Engineer to drive comprehensive testing of lighting products, ensuring electrical and mechanical performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate with internal teams and external laboratories to plan, execute, and report testing activities across LED fixtures, dimmers, and related components.

The role requires a strong engineering background, meticulous attention to detail, and hands-on experience with testing

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product testing and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
• Experience with LED technology and lighting products.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including UL, ETL, and Title 24.
• Experience working with external test laboratories.
• Ability to use test and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans for lighting products including LED fixtures, dimmers, and related components.
• Conduct rigorous testing to assess product performance, durability, and safety.
• Generate comprehensive test reports documenting procedures, results, and analysis.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to identify areas for product improvement.
• Support regulatory compliance and certification processes with UL/ETL and Title 24.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for field issues and job sites.
• Travel to job sites as needed to investigate product-related problems.
• Perform LED testing including photometric measurements, color rendering, and thermal management evaluation.
