HDR is seeking a Lighting Designer I to contribute to architectural projects by handling lighting documentation, CAD/model production, renderings, and calculations. You will work under a senior designer within cross-disciplinary teams to deliver lighting concepts that meet energy and certification standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering specializing in Lighting Design or closely related field.
• Strong computer skills with core competencies using AGI32, eLumtools, Revit, AutoCad, and Microsoft Office
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
• Effective working individually and within team environments
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of a more-senior designer, and work with architectural project teams on all aspects of the art, science and business of lighting design
• Take responsibility for project lighting documentation, CAD/model production, presentation material and renderings, lighting calculations, energy and economic calculations, and building certification compliance credits
• Perform other duties as needed
