Job summary

Shive-Hattery is seeking a Lighting Designer with 0-3 years of experience to support lighting design from concept through completion in a full-time hourly role. The position emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and seamless integration with architectural projects.

You will work on developing lighting concepts, modeling spaces with AGi32, evaluating illumination levels, and assisting with fixture selections while ensuring energy efficiency and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Fine Arts or related field.
• Coursework, internship, or experience in architectural lighting design or photometrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural lighting concepts and assist with lighting plans and details.
• Model interior/exterior spaces using AGi32 and Visual Lighting to verify illumination levels.
• Assist with fixture selections, cut sheets, schedules and lighting specs.
• Develop lighting control zones and dimming strategies; integrate with building systems.
• Coordinate lighting solutions with architects, designers, engineers and fabricators.
