Job summary

Stantec's Lighting Design group invites a student intern to explore lighting design within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. You will assist on lighting layouts, fixture selection, controls, energy code compliance, and documentation while working closely with senior practitioners and clients.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in lighting design or related program.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with lighting design software and BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Produce lighting layouts in Revit with accuracy and clarity.
• Perform photometric calculations using AGI32 or LightStanza.
• Check energy code compliance for designs and reports.
• Prepare written reports and presentation materials.
• Create renderings and graphic packages for client reviews.
• Develop luminaire schedules and compile product sheets.
• Review mock-ups and collaborate with design teams.
