Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Lighting Construction Specialist to oversee lighting construction and maintenance activities, ensuring safety, standards, and timely execution. The role acts as the primary contact for local lighting contractor resources, coordinating with management to meet customer commitments and maintain cost and quality targets.

Responsibilities include managing readiness, supervising crews on a two-week cycle, and collaborating with Scheduler, CM Specialist, and Contractor

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience.
• Strong Distribution C&M experience (6 years) preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage job readiness and maximize crew productivity according to the work plan.
• Ensure safe and efficient utilization of construction resources to meet targets.
• Coordinate lighting construction resources for restoration and peak periods.
• Lead and supervise contractor crews, scheduling two-week work cycles.
• Inspect contractor safety and work quality, and document deviations.
• Collaborate with Scheduler, CM Specialist, and Contractor Management to optimize plans.
