Job summary

Lighting Maintenance Inc. seeks an experienced Lead Construction Worker to join our Richmond Division. The role oversees a crew of three or more, guiding daily construction activities with hands‑on leadership.

The ideal candidate has strong construction experience, understands MISS Utility markings, can operate heavy equipment, read blueprints, work with concrete, and travel as needed to support projects.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead a crew of three or more employees.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Knowledge of MISS Utility markings and underground utility safety.
• Experience operating excavators, skid steers, trenchers or similar equipment.
• Experience working with concrete and power tools; strong communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a construction crew of 3 or more employees.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities with the crew and management.
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Understand and properly identify MISS Utility markings and underground utility locations.
• Operate construction equipment including: Excavators, Skid steers, Trenchers, Other related construction equipment.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and site preparation activities.
• Assist with concrete work, including preparation, placement, finishing, and related tasks.
• Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
