Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop. You will inspect, service, repair, test, and replace systems and components, including electrical wiring harnesses and charging systems.

This role emphasizes hands-on training, teamwork, and readiness, with duties covering preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring vehicles are mission-ready for drill weekends

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, associated trailers and material handling equipment systems.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems.
