Job summary

Hampton Roads Transit seeks a dynamic Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) Operator to join a committed team serving Virginia’s Hampton Roads region. You will operate LRVs in revenue service, adhere to safety rules, and assist customers while coordinating with the OCC for incidents.

Qualified candidates will hold a Virginia CDL Class B license, pass pre-screening and training with high scores, and maintain a clean driving record. This is a full-time role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must pass LRV Operator pre-screening with 85%+.
• Must pass all LRV Operator training quizzes with 85%+.
• Must secure and maintain Virginia CDL Class B license.

Responsibilities

• Operate LRV in revenue service safely following rules.
• Inspect and report defects to OCC as needed.
• Assist customers and provide information during service.
• Maintain knowledge of routes, stops, and safety procedures.
