Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Transportation Management or related field; Experience may be considered in lieu.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible management experience in operation of a Light Rail System in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides effective, day to day leadership for the Rail Transportation department.
• Plans, develops, implements and oversees light rail SOPs, emergency procedures and rulebook.
• Oversees light rail Operations training and certification programs.
• Develops strategies, goals, objectives and performance indicators to enhance organizational performance.
• Establishes a Rail Operations Control Center for routine and emergency responses.
• Ensures safety is integrated into all responsibilities.
• Participates in budgeting and safety plans.
• Manages staffing needs and supervises transportation supervisors.
