Title: Light Maintenance Technician

Location: Eddyville, Iowa

Wage: Up to $22.37/hr (DOE)

Hours: Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm

What Will I Be Doing?

Here are some of the daily responsibilities:

• Work and direct personnel in a team-oriented, safety-conscious environment, following safety protocols such as PJHA and Observation processes.
• Sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas according to master schedules and procedures.
• Perform moderate supervision and follow-up.
• Sanitation tasks include washing, shoveling, sweeping, and cleaning screens with respirator use.
• Maintain adherence to work schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Assist in maintenance, railroad, and groundskeeping tasks like mowing, trimming, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Operate equipment such as skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand & power tools, with proper training.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers to accomplish tasks and build customer relations.
• Work from elevated areas using fall protection when required.
• Maintain communication regarding work issues, personnel, and employee concerns.
• Perform all shifts, including holidays and weekends, as needed.
• Comply with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Meet performance expectations and participate in employee development planning.
• Assist in planning for short- and long-term company goals.
• Meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds, working in various environments, and operating tools and equipment safely.

What Makes Me Qualified?

Physical Demands

The physical requirements include close-range observation, control precision, manual dexterity, substantial lifting, extended periods of movement, climbing stairs and ladders, operating tools and vehicles, and wearing respirators.

Work Environment
