Qualifications

• Previous experience as a service technician in a dealership required.
• Strong automotive background.
• Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work per the repair order with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional required work and provide time estimates.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner and maintain records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe condition and follow safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Here is what you will be doing:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management
