Job summary

Cavender Confidence Ford of Norman, a Cavender Auto Family dealership, is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing team and help Make Confidence Happen every day.

You will perform repairs and diagnostics, communicate with the Service Advisor, and maintain accurate records of service work while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a safety-focused shop.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a service technician required.
• Strong automotive background.
• Manufacture ASE certifications preferred.
• Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on vehicles per the repair order and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional repairs and time estimates.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Keep the work area clean and follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Here is what you will be doing:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management
