Job summary

RRD in Iowa City, IA is seeking a Light Equipment Operator 1 for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm). The position offers a starting pay of $16.64 per hour with a $2.00 per hour shift differential and a pay range up to $18.64 with overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

Familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment and ability to set up and operate following step-by-step instructions.
Ability to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to equipment operation (e.g., maintain machine operation records, write new identification labels).
Skill in routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating equipment.
Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.

Responsibilities

Operate offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging equipment.
Pack product at the press.
Set up and adjust machine and equipment for production runs.
Clean, lubricate, and maintain machine to ensure optimum operation.
May troubleshoot issues and submit requests for maintenance as needed.
May coordinate the assignment of crew members and provide training for new team members.
