Job summary

RRD in Iowa City, IA is seeking a Light Equipment Operator 1 for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm). The position offers a starting pay of $16.64 per hour with a $2.00 per hour shift differential and a pay range up to $18.64 with overtime and benefits.

• Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.

• Operate offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging equipment.
• Pack product at the press.
• Set up and adjust machine and equipment for production runs.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain machine to ensure optimum operation.
• May troubleshoot issues and submit requests for maintenance as needed.
• May coordinate the assignment of crew members and provide training for new team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

• Carry, lift, push, and pull 15–40 lbs.; twist, stand, walk, reach, and grasp throughout shift.
• Lifting 15–40 lbs. frequently; squatting and kneeling.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment with moving mechanical parts, airborne dust, paper particles, and industrial lift trucks.
• Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection.

Additional Information
