Job summary

RR Donnelley in Iowa City, IA is seeking a Press Operator 2 for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, approx. 3:00pm to 11:00pm). Starting pay is $22.37 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour premium shift differential.

The role will set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment; perform make-ready tasks, color corrections, and press adjustments to meet quality specs; clean and maintain the press; perform periodic maintenance; and take on other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Requires thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment.
• Make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders; inspect plates/cylinders for imperfections; prepare blankets; adjust tension and register.
