Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Operate Forklift, Skid Steer, Cat 308, Excavator, and Trencher to dig holes and trenches, and remove and transport earth, gravel, and other materials.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Support the company's commitment to safety and its core values.

• Work well with supervision.
• Operate equipment to dig trenches and holes of specified dimensions and grade.
• Work around underground utilities and in tight spaces.
• Remove loosened material and place it in piles or transport trucks.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective actions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs; work from elevated or uneven surfaces.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, and occasionally climb onto equipment or trailers.
• Push, pull, lift, or carry objects weighing 35 to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Visual ability sufficient for job duties; eye-hand coordination.
• Travel and overtime may be required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum one year of mechanical, industrial, or refinery maintenance experience. Knowledge of basic hand tools. Ability to pass equipment tests and visual observations. Complete safety and site-specific training. Maintain active status in the DISA drug testing program and pass a background check.
