Job description

Operate Forklift, Skid Steer, Cat 308, Excavator, and trencher which digs holes and trenches and removes and transports earth, gravel, and other such materials.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its Core Values.
  • Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards, while adhering to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
  • Work well with supervision.
  • Operate equipment to dig trenches and holes of specified length, depth, and width and grade.
  • Work around existing underground utilities and tight areas.
  • Use equipment to remove loosened material and put in piles or transport trucks.
  • Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.

PHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work from elevated or uneven surfaces.
  • Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and stooping; occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying objects weighing a minimum of 35 pounds to a maximum of 100 pounds, with assistance.
  • Requires visual ability sufficient to perform job duties. Work normally requires eye-hand coordination.
  • Travel and overtime may be required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of one (1) year of mechanical, industrial, or refinery maintenance experience. General knowledge of basic hand tools. Must be able to pass equipment test and visual observation of operating equipment. Complete the Matrix Service Safety training and Client/Site specific training. Must obtain and maintain an active status within the DISA drug testing program and pass a background check.
