Job Summary

The Equipment Operator is capable of operating various pieces of equipment. The role involves multiple tasks to keep operations running smoothly. Routine duties are performed with minimal supervision. Normal work hours are from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekend work as needed. Work hours may fluctuate based on production goals.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile machinery and equipment used for drilling, blasting, crushing, screening, and loading raw materials such as hard rock, sand, gravel, etc.
• Move materials, perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, and collaborate with others to meet daily production goals.
• Operate equipment safely, efficiently, and effectively.
• Maintain daily cleanliness of equipment.
• Complete daily equipment tasks as assigned.
• Assist weekly with loading trains, dipping ponds, and grading haul roads.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of related experience required.
• Current North Carolina Driver’s License required.

Physical Demands

Light to moderate physical activity, performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily product/technical nature.
