Job summary

CloudKitchens is seeking an experienced HVAC/R & Facilities Maintenance Technician to service and maintain commercial kitchen facilities across the Greater Atlanta Area. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support refrigeration and ventilation systems at multiple sites.

The role requires travel between sites, on-call rotation, and overtime opportunities. A valid driver’s license and HVAC experience are essential for success in this field-based role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience.
• Experience with rooftops, ventilation, or walk-in refrigeration.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites locally.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems (WIC/R, RTUs, exhaust fans, hoods, make-up air units, DOAS systems).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites.
• Support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems.
• Travel between multiple sites across the Greater Atlanta Area.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Handle basic electrical and plumbing maintenance as needed.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work.
• Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and diagnose issues.
• Provide remote troubleshooting support to onsite teams and vendors.
• Review startup, testing, and balancing reports to verify performance.
• Assist with new facility openings by verifying installation and system functionality.

What you’ll do

HVAC/R & Facilities Maintenance

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems (WIC/R, RTUs, exhaust fans, hoods, make‑up air units, DOAS systems)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites
• Support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems

Facility Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites (number of sites vary by region) throughout the week across the Greater Atlanta Area
• Conduct site inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Handle basic electrical and plumbing maintenance as needed
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work

System Performance & Troubleshooting

• Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and diagnose issues
• Provide remote troubleshooting support to onsite teams and vendors
• Review reports (startup, testing, balancing) to verify system performance

New Site Support

• Assist with new facility openings by verifying installation and system functionality
• Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions

What your week looks like

• 70% hands‑on HVAC/R maintenance & repair
• 20% troubleshooting & diagnostics (onsite + remote)
• 10% inspections, reporting, and system verification

What we’re looking for

Required

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience
• Experience working with rooftop units, ventilation systems, or refrigeration(Walk‑Ins)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites locally

Preferred

• HVAC Universal certification (EPA, trade school, or equivalent)
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi‑site facilities
• Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems

Work Environment & Schedule

• Field‑based role across the Greater Atlanta Area
• Local travel between sites (home daily)
• Monday–Friday schedule with on‑call rotation and overtime opportunities
