Job summary

Total Warehouse in Hawaii is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain lift trucks and material handling equipment in the field. You will perform mechanical and electrical repairs, operate a service van, and ensure safety and reliability for clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years mechanical experience in lift trucks, automotive, large equipment or related industry.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to operate lift trucks.
• Strong mechanical repair skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals and schematics.
• Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer service focused.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all makes of lift trucks and components.
• Perform all assigned Planned Maintenance (PM) on customer lift trucks.
• Perform PMs and engine tune-ups on most equipment without supervision.
• Operate service van safely and in compliance with safety rules.
• Assist with training apprentices through on-the-job training.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Provide professional customer service when interfacing with clients.
• Identify and order replacement parts as needed.
• Test lift equipment to verify repairs; ensure batteries are charged.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and safety.
• Use TW Mobile to process service calls and accurately record work orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
