The City of Winter Garden is seeking a Lift Station Operator to perform maintenance, inspection and repair of lift stations, pumps and related appurtenances. You will work under the supervision of the collection/distribution supervisor and support field crews.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of field technician experience, FWPCOA Class C certification, and a Florida CDL Class B with air brakes and tanker endorsements.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of lift stations and related utilities.
• Experience with maintenance, repair and inspection tasks.
• Ability to operate power tools safely and follow safety rules.
• Ability to supervise subordinates and communicate effectively.
• Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Willingness to respond to emergency calls after hours.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain grounds and perform maintenance of city property.
• Repair, clean and set up work areas and equipment.
• Assist field crews and trades workers on various tasks.
• Locate, read and record meter readings for billing or verification.
• Operate heavy equipment including trucks and compactors.
