Crystal Mountain, part of Alterra Mountain Company, seeks a Night Lift Operator to safely operate the ski lift during night shifts and assist guests with loading and unloading. The role requires attentiveness at load/unload, crowd control, and professional guest interaction in a winter resort environment.
You'll work outdoors in variable conditions, lift maintenance tasks, and complete daily logs. This seasonal position offers benefits and opportunities within a premier mountain resort community.

Safely and efficientlyoperatea ski lift during night skiing operations, assistguests in safely loading and unloading the chairlift, conduct crowd control at lift lines, and enthusiastically and professionally interact with guests.

Be attentive at the load and unload terminals; watching not only ramp, but all areas around your station
Perform opening procedures at the ski lift and lift maze
Assistingguests of all ages and abilities to load and unload chairliftssafely
Enthusiastically interact with guests at every opportunity
Prepare andmaintaina safe and aesthetically pleasing workspace throughout the day as conditions change (shoveling, raking, moving snow) by completing physically demanding tasks
Complete required documentation such as daily logs and other documents as needed, legibly and accurately
Work independently or in groups toaccomplishdaily job-related tasks
Maintain the lift chairs by removing snow, ice, and precipitation for guests
Perform closing procedures at the ski lift and lift maze
Conduct/manage crowd controlin lift mazes
Present yourself with a professional appearance and demeanor
Be respectful to all employees and guests at all times
Follow all skiing policies and codes
Must be dependable and reliable

Must be 18 or older
Ski/Snowboard experience preferred
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Must be self-motivated and able to maximize use of time and resources
Previouslift operation experience desired
This position isrequiredto workearlymornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours while in operation.
Be able to work flexible work schedules
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis
Perform repetitive tasks
Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, bending, reaching, speaking, and sitting on a constant basis.
Work outside in extremecold weather, in rain, and changing conditions forlong periodsof time
Comfortable with riding all chairlifts and being at heights
