Job summary

Wilson Sporting Goods Co. is seeking an Inventory Lift Truck Operator to manage and record inventory throughout the distribution center using RF-equipped forklifts.

Starting at $21 per hour, the role includes operating reach trucks, performing cycle and bin counts, and transporting products to designated areas. Shift is 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed and a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • PIT training and operation of PIT equipment is required.
  • Experience operating reach trucks/Order selectors is preferred.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Familiarity with SAP WMS is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are expected.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate RF-equipped forklifts to record and move inventory.
  • Perform bin and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and maintain equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Transport products to assigned destinations within the DC.
  • Maintain safe work practices and comply with OSHA standards.
  • Use SAP and related devices to complete assignments.
  • Work scheduled shifts consistently and meet production targets.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during daily tasks.

Starting at $21 per hour the Inventory Lift Truck Operator will be responsible for operating and using industrial powered stand up forklifts that are RF equipped to assess and record inventory throughout the Distribution Center.

The shift is from 6AM-2:30PM - Monday through Friday.

What You’ll Do
  • Bin block counts
  • Planned cycle counts
  • Identify and maintain necessary equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Retrieve and transport products to assigned destinations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Use SAP scanners, tablets, and other devices as assigned to complete assignments.
  • Continually meet production efficiency levels
  • Maintain quality of work (Accuracy is key)
  • Work independently and in a team environment willing to help in other departments and work overtime when necessary (Flexibility is a must).
  • Consistently work scheduled shifts and be on time to comply with the company attendance policy.
  • Be able to troubleshoot and correct problems that occur within your daily tasks.
  • Perform any other assignment/task given by any member of leadership.
What We’re Looking For
  • Ability to successfully pass PIT training and operating PIT (Reach Truck and Order Selector).
  • Basic understanding of equipment operator roles within a warehouse distribution environment.
  • Basic math skills are a must.
  • Basic understanding of the SAP warehouse management system.
  • Excellent communication abilities, including speaking, writing, and active listening.
  • Effective organization and time management skills, like prioritization, multitasking, and planning.
  • Flexibility as priorities may change mid-task.
  • Have a personable and positive attitude when dealing with co-workers and vendors.
  • Ability to handle multiple job tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently with little-to-no supervision.
  • Meticulous attention to detail where accuracy is key.
  • Focus and critical thinking.
  • Maintain a high-level of professionalism and discretion.
