Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience working with students with a wide range of abilities and disabilities in a self-contained setting.
• Proficient in differentiated instruction, IEP development, and individualized learning plans.
• Strong collaboration with families, general education staff, and related service providers.
• Ability to pass WSP and FBI fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide developmentally appropriate, research-based instruction for students with disabilities.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction aligned to IEPs and state standards.
• Teach curriculum adopted by the District with accommodations and modifications.
• Differentiate instruction using data to guide interventions and progress toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with instructional staff, assistants, and volunteers.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress on IEP goals.
• Adhere to district policies and confidentiality requirements.
