Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD meetings.
• Implement instructional or therapeutic programs for assigned students and document preparation.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies and materials tailored to learning styles.
• Work with regular classroom teachers to modify curricula as needed for inclusion.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings regularly.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan activities.
• Present subject matter per IEP guidelines.
• Use varied instructional techniques and media to meet needs.
• Supervise assignments for teacher aides and volunteers.
• Incorporate technology into teaching/learning processes.
