Job summary

San Juan College in Farmington, NM seeks a Manager of Lifelong Learning Operations and Programming to shape non-credit classes (CLC, Encore, Kids Kollege) and related programs. You’ll blend program development, marketing, and community outreach to reflect local interests and expand access to education beyond the classroom.

The role involves supervising staff, coordinating instructor onboarding, and guiding marketing efforts across online and print channels, ensuring engaging learning experiences

Qualifications

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a Bachelor’s degree and/or higher education and/or workforce development, program management or related experience.
• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department in order to direct and coordinate work within the division/department.

Responsibilities

• Creates programming for non-credit lifelong learning classes, Encore, and Kids Kollege using surveys to identify community needs and interests.
• Develops departmental marketing plans and creates effective marketing and outreach materials for Community Learning Center non-credit (CLC), Encore, Kids Kollege, and Center for Workforce Development (CWD) classes for both face-to-face and online classes, including both electronic and print materials.
• Oversees departmental events such as the Encore Birthday and scholarship events with the San Juan College Foundation.
• Supervises assigned employees; participates in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development in accordance with College policies.
• Develops schedules, and directs the work of part-time instructors; assists with development of part-time employee handbooks and orientations.
