Job summary

City of Culver City is seeking a part-time Lifeguard Supervisor to manage and supervise aquatic programs at the Culver City Municipal Pool. Responsibilities include supervising the pool deck, teaching swimming and water safety, and assisting with pool maintenance and chemical testing.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old and hold CPR, First-Aid, Lifeguard Training, and WSI certificates; WSI may be obtained with department training. A one-time sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising the use and safety of swimming pools.
• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• CPR, First-Aid, Lifeguard Training certificates must be attached with the application.
• WSI certificate required or obtained by applicant; CC PRCS will not offer this course.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, organizes and conducts an aquatic program.
• Supervises pool deck, enforces regulations, prevents accidents, performs rescues.
• Teaches swimming, lifesaving and water safety classes.
• Assists with pool maintenance and testing of chemicals.
