Job summary

The Bridgewater Club in Carmel, Indiana, is seeking responsible and energetic lifeguards to ensure member and guest safety around swimming pools. Responsibilities include supervising pool areas, responding to emergencies, and enforcing safety rules. This role requires current lifeguard certification and availability for flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Current certification in Red Cross or equivalent lifeguard training, including deep water, first aid, and CPR/AED.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Available to work flexible hours that may include evenings and holidays.
• Have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool and pool area to ensure guest safety.
• Respond and care for emergencies at Bridgewater Club.
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
• Secure all facilities upon closing and during periods with no lifeguard supervision.
• Administer age-appropriate discipline as needed with good judgement and respect of patrons.
• Ensure all equipment malfunctions are reported in a timely manner.
• Respond to questions and needs of guests and management.
• Remain calm, personable, and professional while multitasking.
• Work effectively within a group setting to ensure safety of patrons.
• Stay current with and effectively enact facility policies and procedures.
• Attend all trainings, including in-service trainings and organizational meetings.
• Maintain all safety training certifications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
