Job summary

The Bridgewater Club LLC in Carmel, Indiana is seeking responsible and energetic Lifeguards to ensure the safety of members and guests around the swimming pools.

Qualifications

• Possess current certification in Red Cross or equivalent Lifeguard Training including Deep Water, First Aid, CPR/AED.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Available to work flexible hours that may include evenings and holidays.
• Have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool and pool area to ensure guest safety.
• Respond and care for emergencies at The Bridgewater Club.
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
• Secure all facilities upon closing.
• Administer age appropriate discipline as needed.
• Ensure that all equipment malfunctions are reported.
• Respond to questions and needs of guests and management.
• Effectively work within a group setting to ensure safety of patrons.
• Stay current with and effectively enact facility policies.
• Attend all trainings including in-service trainings.
• Maintain all safety training certifications.

About The Bridgewater Club

The Bridgewater Club is a private club with a fun work environment.

Description

We are looking to hire a responsible and energetic person to ensure the safety of members and guests in and around the swimming pools. The lifeguard will enforce safety rules with the members and guests and warn them about unsafe situations. The Lifeguard will have some additional duties that include swimming pool areas, locker rooms, and restrooms. To ensure success you need to be able to create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with The Bridgewater Club policies and procedures. Top candidates are professional, enthusiastic, dependable, excellent communicators, safety minded, love people, and love the water.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Supervise pool and pool area to ensure guest safety.
• Respond and care for emergencies at The Bridgewater Club.
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
• Secure all facilities upon closing and other periods where there will be no supervision by lifeguards.
• Administer age appropriate discipline as needed with good judgement and respect of patrons.
• Ensure that all equipment malfunctions are reported in a timely manner.
• Respond to questions and needs of guests and management.
• Have the ability to remain calm, personable, and professional while multitasking.
• Effectively work within a group setting to ensure safety of patrons.
• Stay current with and effectively enact facility policies and procedures.*
• Attend all trainings including, but not limited to: in-service trainings and organizational meetings. (Typically Sunday evenings once a month)
• Maintain all safety training certifications.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
