Job summary

Montgomery College, Rockville and Germantown campuses, seeks candidates for temporary PT Pool Operator in the Facilities Department. This is an evergreen requisition with rolling reviews to support staffing needs. It is a non-bargaining, non-exempt role and not eligible for a secondary job.

The Pool Operator safeguards patrons, maintains pool water quality, tests chemistry, runs filtration, and performs equipment maintenance in compliance with health laws.

Qualifications

• Montgomery County Swimming Pool Operators License required.
• Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR with AED certifications approved by Montgomery County.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Background check and degree verification (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain a healthy aquatic environment for the college.
• Perform lifeguard duties and monitor water chemistry; staff sign-desk and locker room issues.
• Protect minors and report concerns per Title IX requirements.
• Clean and sanitize, assist with draining/refilling of pool and related tasks.
• Support activities and classes by setting up/tearing down areas and equipment.
• Provide information on classes, recreation swim and rental programs.
