Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore is seeking a Lifeguard who will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all swimmers and enforcing pool rules. Candidates should possess a valid Lifeguard certification and CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and must demonstrate effective swimming and emergency response skills.

This position requires active participation in training and maintaining a high level of physical readiness. The work environment is typically hot and humid, and candidates should be prepared for the physical demands of the role.

Qualifications

• Candidates with Lifeguard certification from other agencies may be considered.
• Current Certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer (including AED).
• Current Baltimore County Pool Operator's certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all swimmers during the shift.
• Perform chemical readings for pool maintenance.
• Provide outstanding member service to JCC guests.
