Job summary

Workstream is seeking observant and responsible Lifeguards to ensure patron safety and provide a positive experience. You will identify risks, respond quickly, and may offer swimming lessons as needed.

Shifts available are 9am-1pm and 1pm-4:30pm. Candidates should be ARC certified with CPR/First Aid or willing to obtain upon hire; strong communication and physical fitness are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have ARC certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Physically fit, agile and strong.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all activities and identify safety issues.
• Recognize signs of danger.
• Perform first aid procedures when necessary.
• Closely monitor pool-related activities.
• Monitor weather reports to ensure safety.
• Direct swimmers to exit the water in hazardous conditions.
• Provide assistance to patrons.
• Provide emergency care until arrival of medical services.
• Perform maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Explain and enforce rules, regulations, and policies.
• Maintain appropriate activity reports.
