Job summary

North Canton YMCA is seeking qualified lifeguards for part-time positions to ensure the safety of swimmers and staff in the aquatic area.

Wages start at $12.00 per hour and are commensurate with experience. Weekday evenings and weekends are available slots, with part-time staff receiving complimentary memberships and discounted rates for child care and most programs.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of age.
• Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
• Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid.
• If not certified, willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of all swimmers and people in the aquatic area.
• Attend mandatory in-service trainings.
• Maintain a positive attitude & team player.
• Rescue ready at all times during shift.

Education

Lifeguarding certification (YMCA/Red Cross)

BLS (CPR) and First Aid
