Job summary

Paul & Carol David YMCA in Massillon, OH is seeking qualified lifeguards to oversee safety in the aquatic area. Candidates must be at least 15 years old and hold current YMCA or Red Cross lifeguard certification along with BLS CPR and First Aid. If not certified, willingness to be trained is required.

Available hours include weekday evenings and weekends. Starting wage is $12.00 per hour, with part-time staff receiving complimentary memberships and discounts on child care and programs.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of age.
• Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
• Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid.
• Willingness to be trained if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing the safety of all swimmers and people in the aquatic area
• Attends mandatory in-service trainings
• Positive attitude & team player
• Rescue ready at all times during shift
