Job summary

SafeSplash is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to maintain supervision of the pool area, respond to emergencies, and keep the facility clean and safe in accordance with American Red Cross standards. You will need current Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications, and the ability to stay alert on your feet for long periods while assisting patrons.

This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling and no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Meet American Red Cross lifeguarding prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance of patrons in pool area and respond to emergencies.
• Provide emergency care until EMS arrival.
• Keep the facility clean and safe at all times.
• Ensure pool area is supervised per American Red Cross standards.

What will you do as a Lifeguard?

• Maintain surveillance of patrons in the pool area; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of customers in the event of an emergency
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of EMS
• Perform various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Make sure the pool area is always properly supervised and attended in accordance to American Red Cross standards

What are we looking for in a Lifeguard?

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification
• Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards
• Must be able to perform the physical demands of lifeguarding, including standing or remaining alert on your feet for extended periods and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 75 pounds as needed in emergency situations.
