Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston is hiring a Lifeguard II at the Wang YMCA. The role is hourly, non-exempt, with shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The Lifeguard II will guard the pool, enforce rules, and implement emergency procedures under the Aquatics Director’s supervision.

Requires active Lifeguard Certifications, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered for certified guards and instructors, with a friendly YMCA work

Qualifications

• Must have active Lifeguard Certifications (e.g., YMCA, Red Cross).
• CPR, First Aid, O2 certifications are required.
• Candidates should be able to enforce pool rules and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Guard the pool and ensure patron safety.
• Enforce pool rules and assist with emergencies.
• Provide CPR/First Aid and oxygen as needed and complete incident reports.
